This was a crazy week! Monday, the moving company came and packed us up. I found out as we unpacked that they just wrapped the salt and pepper shakers in paper and put them in. The open cereal boxes were put in upside down. If I knew that was how things were packed, I would have taped things shut and taken care of stuff. Needless to say, there was salt, pepper, cereal, mashed potato flakes all over the boxes that had them. Back to the week, Tuesday, the company came back and moved everything into the truck. Well, it was more like a train, there were about 4 compartments in the trailer of this thing. We were put in one compartment and they were not going to be using this monstrous thing for any other move. I do not know why they did not just bring a truck, maybe they were out. The driver said that he could get our things to us on Thursday instead of Saturday, so that was a plus!! Only 3 days with our pans packed away. Well, it is taking a bit to unpack everything, so I did not have to make dinner for 5 days. Well, the movers got our stuff put in the train later than we thought and we did not get out until 1:00pm. We drove for 4 hours and stopped. William’s diaper was still dry!!! He got a lot of fun treats for that. We got dinner and a drink for the boys and got back on the road. I decided I wanted to drive the whole way since Cody can read to me in the car and I cannot; I get sick. I also found it hard to turn around in my seat to take care of the boys if they needed anything. Being pregnant really makes that hard. So there we were only an hour from our destination, the boys had been SOOOOOO good not needing to watch anything and playing quietly or sleeping during the trip, when it happened. Edward threw up. He had his cupped bib on so it caught some, but it got all over his seat, the car chair underneath, the stuffed toy of Tigger, the strap of a food bag, his clothes and himself. We were going to pull to the side of the road, but an exit appeared. There were no gas stations or anything, so we just stopped and did our best to take care of the situation. We stripped him and his car seat down, cleaned both off as best we could with wipes and put a bath towel in his chair for him to sit in. We put all of the yucky stuff in bags cleaned everything else with only wipes, and got back on the road. So we found our place pretty easily and pulled in after 10:00pm. Both boys had fallen asleep. We got out and found out that William leaked out in his seat. So after getting the boys cleaned up, putting them in pajamas, and creating beds on the floor for them, we put them to bed. Now I could relax…NOPE! I cleaned all the stuff that William and Edward got yucky in the bathtub. It felt like it took forever. So that done, we brought all of our stuff in from the car and cleaned the seat under Edward’s car seat more thoroughly. We created a bed for us using the inflatable mattress that Cody’s mom let us use. THANX!!! And fell asleep. The next day I gave the boys a bath first thing. The things I cleaned in the tub still had a smell on them. That kind of smell does not go away easy. My sister Jessica is in Bountiful right now and came over that day so Cody and I could get to Wal-Mart to pick up stuff we needed. I got Febreze and had to spray Edward’s car seat a few times after cleaning it. When Jessica first came by, Edward was scared of her and kept his distance, but when we got home from the store he had warmed up. We did not get our internet until Friday. I guess Comcast has changed some of the procedures because of being sued. However, we were told different things by different people in the company. We finally got everything worked out and have a way to look at maps of the area so we know what is around us. Edward now asks where something is and then points to it and goes, “Ta-Da!” He also does that when I ask where he or anyone else is. William has had a hard time, but we did manage to get their beds in the same position they were in their old bedroom, but it is not exactly the same. I was told doing this might help him with the transition. When we coming home from somewhere and I say that we are going home, William always corrects me with, “Not home, our new home.” We told him we were going to a new home before we left. So we are here safe, tired, and trying to get use to Utah water.
